MMTC 2022

What is the Midwest Ministry Training Camp?

This Camp is designed for young men to learn more about their Christian ministry. It will be focused mainly on learning how to preach and teach, but various other ministry areas will be explored, such as missions, personal evangelism, and song-leading. Each camper will be assigned a topic at the beginning of the camp and will present his lesson at the end of camp. During the week each camper will work with the staff and teachers to help him prepare this lesson.

  • During camp we will be focusing on sermon preparation and digging deeper into the text. The teachers and counselors will be aiding each camper during these times to help guide them in preparing a sermon. There will also be a few classes each day that will focus on a specific aspect of Christian ministry and will allow the young men to get hands-on experience.

  • There will also be recreational activities planned and enjoyed together. This will include sports time, swimming (men only), and game time. “Spoken English” sessions will occur every day and we will also be having a special Evangelism Workshop that the campers will get to enjoy alongside the members of the Pittsburg congregation.

  • At the end of the week we will enjoy a fun and special activity together, along with a special devo.

  • Parents will receive detailed schedules for the week when they drop campers off on Sunday afternoon.

  • We will begin on Sunday afternoon and conclude Friday evening. Friday evening we will invite parents and family members to join us for supper and following that a worship service and graduation ceremony. This way the family members can experience what their campers have learned during the week.
